Dear Daughter of Dysfunction

DOD.jpeg

Dear Daughter of Dysfunction,

I see you. Yes, you.
The strong one who doesn’t always feel that way.
The one who grew up quick and holds all the places together.
The one who will dive deep into any situation and can manage crisis like none other.
The one who gets nervous when life is going a little too well because you’re always ready for the other shoe to drop.
The one who gives so much away and is sometimes left frazzled and used up.

I’ve got a freeing little secret to tell you…

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE THE ONE.

You do not have to be the one to fix it all.
To have every answer.
To carry all the brokenness.
You’re not responsible for everyone else’s hurts, their healing or their emotions.
It may feel like it’s going to all fall apart if you let go a bit, but I promise - He loves your people even more than you do.

Dear Daughter of Dysfunction, don’t forget that there’s a King who is big enough for everything you’re holding and He can’t be swayed by the weight of it.

YOU ARE ENOUGH HERE.
NOT TOO MUCH, OR TOO LITTLE.

ENOUGH.
